Medical
Missions - The PMMA sponsors medical missions
to the Philippines. The first was held in Batangas, Philippines
in February 2002 headed by Bernard Quebral, MD. 26 volunteers
who saw around 2000 patients, bringing around $350,000 of medical
supplies to the Philippines.

Conferences
- The PMMA holds an annual scientific 3-day conference attended
by invited national and regional speakers to give updates to the
members and other medical providers in the midwest. This year, the
PMMA held its 25th annual clinical conference in Brainerd Minnesota.
Free clinics - The PMMA holds a regular community free
clinic for elderly Filipinos, especially those with no insurance
and those with language barrier problems. The clinic is headed by
the PMMA president, Bernard Quebral and he started the program called
"Bantay-Presyon"/Hypertension Watch in coordination with
the Filipino-Minnesotan Medical Association.
Filipino Organization Projects
- The PMMA actively supports the local Filipino organization projects
like Philippine Independence Day, Rizal Day celebrations.
Continuing
Medical Education - The PMMA holds quarterly CME activity
for the PMMA and Philippine Nurses Association made possible in
part from educational grants from drug companies.
